Compliance Obligation
Switzerland Revised Equal Pay Act
Switzerland is taking decisive action to close the wage gap with significant revisions to the Equal Pay Act. If you manage a workforce of 100 employees or more, EDGE Empower® can seamlessly simplify compliance with these requirements. Furthermore, it provides credible, world-class third-party certification, offering you an unparalleled competitive advantage.
What you should know
Every four (4) years, employers must conduct an equal pay analysis, using a scientific and legally compliant method, and obtain independent verification from a specially trained body.
If the equal pay analysis indicates that equal pay requirements are being met, the employer concerned is exempted from the obligation to conduct an analysis.
Employers must share the findings with employees and, for companies whose shares are listed on a stock market, shareholders.
Accountability Measures
Ensure auditors complete specialized training. and be aware of risks such as fines and setbacks in public procurement for instances of noncompliance.
For the analysis, you can consider the free standard tool called Logib (Art. 13c
Gender Equality Act, GEA) provided by the federal government, but also discover
other valid methods that are already in use, provided they comply with
Swiss law and are independently validated.
